was an American photographer.
She was a successful fashion model in New York in the 1920s, Man Ray's muse, before going to Paris where she became an established fashione and fine art photographer.
During the Second World War, she became an acclaimed war correspondent for Vogue covering events such as th London Blitz, the liberation of Paris, and the concentration camps at Buchenwald and Dachau.
She was of great beauty and talent, two virtues depicted through her photography.

There is a Lee Miller retrospective at the Jeu De Paume in Paris at this moment.
I strongly suggest, if you're in Paris, to go and see this exibit.
It ends on the 4th of january.
