Japan Flags

Illustration by Noemi Sunshine Ferst available at Japan Flags

In a modest effort to raise funds for Japan, several illustrators, including myself, have banded together with Creasenso and the Red Cross, to create our own version of the the japanese flag.
We wanted to help as best we could by doing what we do best.
So rather than just hope people would donate money, we wanted to give people a lovely reminder of a lovely gesture.
And thus the Japan Flags project was born.
All profits go to the Red Cross for the people of Japan.
All these images were drawn with love.
So we hope you will love them too.

If you believe in what we are trying to do, please spread the word!

Love.
xxN.

I Love Paris

Photos: Unknown

And we're back in grey Paris!
Miami was more amazing than ever, electricity was in the air and as always, Le Baron was the place to be!
Had a spectacular time spinning with my fellow residents and frenchmen for all you crazy Art Basel kids!
And though the warm air and sweet shores of South Beach will be sorely missed, once again, there really is no place like home (under a thick layer of snow!)

Vive la France!

Dazed & Confused

Last night, lovely friend Kelly Smith unveiled her masterpiece submission to a competition held by Dazed & Confused.
She immediately inspired me to attempt my own take on the Dazed challenge.
Dazed & Confused have selected 10 covers from the last decade and have offered them to us illustrators from all around the world to take them do what we please to them.
Unfortunately, my sweet Kelly informed me that the closing date was today and told me to get cracking!
And that's exactly what I did!
Though it was a race against time, I managed to make my modest contribution. I would have loved to have more time to think about it, let a few ideas flutter in my head, eventually develop them, but it wasn't meant to be.
So may I present to you, my last minute homage to the divine Karen Elson and this great magazine!
Hope you like it.
xx.

The Girls in Paris

As usual, have kept my bad blogger habits while abroad...
I just can't do it!
But you'll have to forgive me, I'm sure you can understand me setting aside my computer for a sun chair by the sea in December...
Any way, Miami was amazing, Le Baron was the place to be and as promised, I spinned my heart out all week and it was worth it!
We hosted the wildest parties in town!
I truly enjoyed the culture clash (Pierre Hardy (Paris) meets Lincon's completely disproportionate mannequins / tacky shoe shops (Miami)...)!
Thought we were worlds apart, we all came together for the love of art and music!
Was great seeing all the New Yorkers!
And though I miss the sea and the sun, there really is no place like home!
Paris, je t'aime!

Hope you'll enjoy them!

Going Up The Country

Am finally back in Paris for more than 24 hours allowing me to get back to my seriously abandonned bloggling duties!
Have taken 27 trains in the last 5 weeks for Le Baron's summer tour of France And Europe!
If I never have to set foot on a train again, I would be thrilled!
But sadly, another one awaits me tommorow.
So here is a quick post before I get shipped off to the south for a week.
Hope I'll have a stable internet connexion there, but I doubt it...
I hope everyone has been having a lovely summer, soaking up the sun, lazing on a beach or in a medow, basically, everything I dream of doing, chilling!

Honey, I'm Home!

Me wearing a Les Prairies de Paris gown by Julien Weber

I'm back!
Cannes was amazing!
Our best year there!
So many amazing things happened, don't even know where to begin...
(I was a back up dancer for Blondie!!! Never even thought I'd get to see her preforme, so being on stage with her, dancing with Debbie Harry... A dream come true! )
Met so many wonderful people!
Wore so many stunning dresses!
Divine weather!
Can't wait to share it all with you!
Will be putting loads of pics up on my photo blog:
Hope you'll enjoy them!
It's so good to be home!

Swoosh Swoosh

First of all, so sorry I've been M.I.A.
Am actually on a ski trip (am in so much pain!) and it's kind of tough getting internet up here and finding the will to type anything relatively interresting after a hard day of skiing and a never ending night of spinning.
(Really weird djing in Moon Boots...)
Going back to Paris on Sunday, where I shall resume my blogging duties.

Song of the day.

xxN.

I've started another blog, not really sure of what will come of it...
But basicaly, it's going to be a photo journal where we will post photos taken by us or friends of us and people, places and things we love.
That does not mean I will be paying less attention to Life in Lomo.
It will remain my principal blog and my priority.
I hope you'll enjoy my new approche to the blog world and what we have to offer you.
