xxN.

Photo: Me by Fab the Pool Boy

In a final attempt to salvage my photo diary: xxN., I have decided to moved it to Tumblr which will enable me to upload more content, more easily!
This also means that I WILL be blogging from Miami this year, on a daily basis!
I can assure you that this is not an empty threat and that I fully intend on sticking to it this time!

So it is my great pleasure to redirect you to the new, improved:

I hope you enjoy it and look forward to keeping this photo diary alive!

Dazed & Confused

Last night, lovely friend Kelly Smith unveiled her masterpiece submission to a competition held by Dazed & Confused.
She immediately inspired me to attempt my own take on the Dazed challenge.
Dazed & Confused have selected 10 covers from the last decade and have offered them to us illustrators from all around the world to take them do what we please to them.
Unfortunately, my sweet Kelly informed me that the closing date was today and told me to get cracking!
And that's exactly what I did!
Though it was a race against time, I managed to make my modest contribution. I would have loved to have more time to think about it, let a few ideas flutter in my head, eventually develop them, but it wasn't meant to be.
So may I present to you, my last minute homage to the divine Karen Elson and this great magazine!
Hope you like it.

My Funny Valentine

Photo: Fab & me by Fabien de Serres

Fab and myself aren't too hot on the whole card company holiday, love should be celebrated whenever you feel like it, not on just one specific day!
So here's my Valentine to you and I hope you'll enjoy it every other day too.

Song of the day.

Cannes was amazing!
Our best year there!
So many amazing things happened, don't even know where to begin...
(I was a back up dancer for Blondie!!! Never even thought I'd get to see her preforme, so being on stage with her, dancing with Debbie Harry... A dream come true! )
Met so many wonderful people!
Wore so many stunning dresses!
Divine weather!
Can't wait to share it all with you!
Will be putting loads of pics up on my photo blog:

Oh Kelly!

Illustration: Kelly Smith

And miss Kelly Smith has done it again, to my great disbelief, here is a second portrait of me!
Someone pinch me!
You can't possibly imagine how speechless and deeply flattered I am right know.
My dear Kelly, a thousand times thank you.
I grow fonder and fonder of you every day.
(i know that sounds weird, but don't worry Kelly, I am not a crazy lady either!)
I don't think I could ever say it enough, but this incredible artist is a gift.
Her heavenly hand has produced what are quickly becoming some of my all time favorite illustrations.
Her pencil stroke is the most delicat I have ever laid eyes on.
And once again, I cannot stress how infatuated I am with the fairness and beauty of her divine drawings.
If you are not yet acquainted with her pretty pencil ladies, you definitely need to be.
I'm sure that soon enough, you'll all find yourselves craving some Kelly Smith to hang in your own homes.

I find myself wanting to fly to Melbourne more than ever now for the opening of her show, A Tale Of Two Kellys, on the 27th of May, meet the enchanting lady behind all this loveliness, see all the pretty things she has in store for us.
So if you are lucky enough to be in that area, around that time, once again, you have absolutely no excuse not to go soak up some sweetness.
xx.

Kelly Smith & Me

Illustration: Kelly Smith

I have the absolute priviledge and immense honour to have been portrayed by the devine hand of the uber talented Kelly Smith.
This lovely lady is by far one of my all time favorite illustrators.
Her drawings are filled with such beauty, so tenderly soft and inexplicably light. It's impossible not to fall in love with her work.
So you can imagine my complete and utter happiness when she asked me if I would be willing to let her draw me!

If you are not yet acquainted with her incredible work, you definitely need to check out her amazing blog Birdy & Me.
For those who do know her exquisite work, you need to get some Kelly Smith hanging on your wall immediately!
I know I have mine and look forward to owning many more!

And for those of you who are fortunate enough to live in Australia, and more precisely in Melbourne, well my dears, you have absolutely no excuse to miss out on this brilliant artist's upcoming show, A Tale Of Two Kellys, opening on the 27th of May.
Though I love Paris, I truly wish I lived in Australia right know.
So be there or be square!

I've started another blog, not really sure of what will come of it...
But basicaly, it's going to be a photo journal where we will post photos taken by us or friends of us and people, places and things we love.
That does not mean I will be paying less attention to Life in Lomo.
It will remain my principal blog and my priority.
I hope you'll enjoy my new approche to the blog world and what we have to offer you.
